HI, I’M DIMITAR – LOCAL TO BOROVETS SKI INSTRUCTOR. LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO THE THRILL OF WINTER SPORTS

I’m an certified ISIA /International Ski Instructors Association/ ski instructor and a local of Borovets, Bulgaria. I began teaching while studying for my bachelor’s degree at the National Sports Academy and have built up 17 years of experience since then. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with skiers of all ages and skill levels – from first-time beginners to confident intermediates and those aiming to learn the most advanced techniques.
As a local I know Borovets area inside and out and I enjoy guiding my clients to the best areas while helping them improve their skills safely and effectively.

I focus on creating a positive, encouraging and professional learning environment tailored to each individual’s pace and goals. Fluent in English and Russian, I ensure clear communication and an enjoyable atmosphere on the snow.

I also love to ski on powder days and ski touring searching for the best conditions and we do get them in Borovets !

 My father, Oleg  served as chief of the Mountain Rescue Service in Borovets. Then became a ski instructor and mountain guide from 1978 to 2003. Currently he manages his own ski rental shop and small bar. He still gives his advices to the customers and they love to listen to his stories about the area and Borovets. He enjoys skiing in March when the snow conditions are great.

An avid skier, ski mountaineer, and alpine ski coach, my grandfather Dimitar, was born in 1925. His skiing journey began in the picturesque region of “Rido” next to Samokov town. On that hill the first local kids started to slide with wooden skis made by a local master. He took active participation in numerous national competitions and became one of the best alpine skiers at his time.
